My wife and I recently bought a small tract of recreational land through Whitetail Properties. Our agent, Brandon Swartzlander, was terrific to work with during this purchase. Having never been through this kind of purchase we had no idea what we needed to do, except that we would have to make a trip to the bank. Brandon explained what was going to happen and even facilitated the process. He communicated with the seller, our bank and the title company and keep us informed what was going to happen along the way. He made himself available anytime we wanted to walk the ground. He answered any questions we had promptly no matter if our questions were sent via text, email or old fashioned phone call. Buying a house is probably one of the most stressful and complicated processes my husband and I have ever been through. I have been hunting for quite some time and have had some decent success while doing it. Through the graciousness of a handful of landowner’s, I have been fortunate enough to have access to some pretty good hunting properties throughout South Central and Eastern Illinois. As good of a situation as it was to be able to enjoy the great outdoors on these parcels of ground, there was one thing that was missing. For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamt of hunting land of my own. When my wife and I decided to list our property late last Fall, because of the acreage involved and the overall uniqueness of the property, we contemplated whether to list it with a local residential realtor or go a different route.
