Born and raised in Rutherford County, North Carolina, Derek developed a deep passion for the outdoors while growing up in the beautiful foothills of the region. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting, fishing, trapping, and wildlife and habitat management.

Derek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Sales from Western Carolina University. With over 15 years of experience in banking, combined with his background in sales and management, he brings a unique set of skills to his clients.

Married to his wife Jesi, Derek is blessed with five children. The family cherishes their time in the outdoors, relishing every opportunity to experience the beauty of the North Carolina mountains.
