As a young man, out of necessity, he started throwing newspapers at age 11 in Little Rock, AR and has worked hard his entire life. His biggest influence was his grandfather, a WWII Pacific veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman, and they spent most of his youth hunting and fishing. His grandfather taught him integrity, character, the concept of “leave it better than you found it,” and introduced him to God. He has carried those lessons with him his entire life and realized, while raising his three kids, that he has a responsibility to leave a legacy that embodies what his grandfather taught him.

While raising his kids, he learned that he could always take them with him to hunt and fish, and that became his passion. They went to public places, leased land, and took vacations that incorporated the outdoors while always facing restrictions. He learned that having his own land to enjoy the outdoors would not only allow him to hunt and manage the property the way he wanted, it was also a great investment. He has bought and sold multiple properties over the years; ironically, with each property he purchased, he never intended to sell. While raising his kids and teaching them to hunt and fish, he learned that many of their friends wanted to try but had no idea how to even start. With the help of a good friend, he started putting in food plots and building box stands primarily so he could take kids and their parents hunting. Together, they introduced and helped over 50 people harvest their first deer. He joined Whitetail Properties, realizing that he could take what he is most passionate about and turn it into a career with a company and team that shares his values. He is living the dream they sell and looks forward to helping others find their dream.
