"My husband John and I recently made what we consider one of our most important purchases since we wed in 2011. John lost his father to cancer when he was 19 years old. He and his father had a remarkably close relationship, spending much of their time outdoors fishing or driving the gravel roads of the Wildlife Management Area. Our home is bordered by much of this land that offers him such fond memories. John built the home we live in here, on ground he and his dad cleared by hand. His family has roots in this KY holler going back generations. Countless times John has mentioned how he wished it would come up for sale, knowing it would never happen. When my sweet dad passed away a couple years ago, I had the chore of selling the family farm in Muhlenberg county, Kentucky. I currently reside in Oklahoma and had not lived in Kentucky for almost 50 years. My husband was a Professional Petroleum Engineer and helped my dad with an old abandoned gas well years back.
