Russell has spent a lifetime immersed in the lakes, forests, and outdoors of the Savannah River region. Growing up on Lake Hartwell in Upstate South Carolina, he developed a deep appreciation for nature, becoming an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. Today, he continues that passion for the outdoors, residing on the banks of Lake Secession with his wife, Amy, and their two children, Bonnie and Jack.

Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resource Management from Clemson University and is a Registered Forester in both SC and GA. After college and a short stint as a land surveyor, he began his career in real estate appraisals. With over 18 years of experience, Russell is a SC Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. The last nine years were spent as an on-staff Appraiser and Forester for Farm Credit, gaining insight and knowledge of the financing processes and specializing in valuing agricultural, recreational and timber properties.

With over two decades of experience in land management, valuation, and finance, Russell is now turning his lifelong passion into the next phase of his career—real estate sales. He is very excited to join Whitetail Properties, bringing his deep-rooted knowledge of land and commitment to helping clients find their ideal properties.
