Tyler Sellens

Tyler was born and raised in a small town in Western Illinois, where he developed a passion for the outdoors early in life through hunting and fishing on his family farm. Guided by his father, he gained not only outdoor skills but also a deep respect for the land and wildlife—values that continue to shape his personal and professional life.

Tyler earned a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Missouri and has spent his career dedicated to land stewardship and conservation. With over a decade at Whitetail Properties, he now serves as the Illinois Team Leader, mentoring a team of land specialists while continuing to represent buyers and sellers of premier hunting land, farmland, and rural properties across West Central Illinois. Tyler leverages his experience in land ownership, habitat improvement, and wildlife management to provide clients with reliable, boots-on-the-ground guidance.

He has been a consistent top producer in Illinois and has been named Whitetail Properties Real Estate's Top Producer in Illinois for the last five years. He is also a recipient of the Realtors Land Institute Apex Award, honoring the nation's highest performing land agents, and holds the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation, a designation earned by the most accomplished and experienced land professionals in the country. Additionally, he holds the Whitetail Properties Certified Land Specialist (WPCLS) certification, an accreditation recognizing those agents in our organization with the highest level of accountability and unrivaled excellence and expertise in the real estate land business.

Tyler and his wife, Mackenzie, are raising their two sons, Spenser and Sterling, with the same Midwest values that shaped their own upbringings — hard work, integrity, and a deep appreciation for the land. Living the lifestyle he promotes, Tyler understands the significance of land ownership and is committed to helping his clients make informed, confident decisions.
