The surrounding landscape features higher-altitude rocky terrain with many overlooks, clearings, and flats. The property was hit by the fire a few years ago, but amazingly no damage was done to the cabin or structures. The majority of the trees were burnt, but the owners have cleared the debris beautifully around and in front of the cabin, giving an incredible view to the east.
