This property is located in the Wabash River Bottoms east of Marshall. It is also located just west of the Indiana State line and not far south of US-40 and I-70. All of this property has been enrolled in the WRP program, and there is currently some work still underway. When the project is complete, there will be a couple of water control areas that will make for some excellent waterfowl hunting. There are a couple of creeks that run through this farm, providing year-round water and great travel routes. East Iron Bridge road runs along the northwest side of the property and provides multiple access points. There are currently several mowed tails around that allow you to access all of the farm as well. These WRP plantings make excellent habitats for all wildlife and especially the whitetail. The one benefit about WRP is as it ages, the cover and habitat continue to get better and hold more animals. Typically in a WRP planting, the government will allow 5% to be planted to food plots, and they’ll allow you to maintain a trail system. This farm is right in the middle of a pretty strictly managed whitetail area, with most neighbors practicing QDMA. If you are looking for a large farm in this area and the river bottom, this is definitely one you’ll want to look at. These farms typically don’t come along often and usually don’t last long.
