There is an older pond inside the timber near the northeast corner that with a little tree clearing and removing some fallen limbs and trees could be a good fishing hole. It definitely serves the purpose of providing water for resident wildlife. Turkey numbers are strong in this area and it’s a guarantee that long beards will be gobbling on these ridgetops in the spring. Morel mushroom hunting will be fruitful here too, this area produces great spring mushrooms. You also don’t have to go far to get supplies or go out to eat as Rockville offers everything you need and is only ten minutes away.
