It becomes more oak, walnut, and hickory timber. This is more open with great elevation changes. The turkeys love this area for the roost and strutting areas. Once you set foot on the riverbank, you will need some time to take in the beauty! Fishing for catfish, smallmouth, and walleye can be your target game fish. Swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and the rest of the watersports can be your summer fun. It will be a short paddle to Waubeek, and for those looking for more, about 2-3 hours on downstream will be the Matsell Bridge. A short hour more and you can paddle right to the steps of the Stone City General Store. Across the river is one of the bigger deer sanctuaries in the northeastern part of the county. The Boy Scouts of America camp is just upriver on the other bank. It is difficult it get much more remote in the county, it is one you must see! Please call listing agent to schedule a showing.
