IOWA, MISSOURI, KANSAS, KENTUCKY, ILLINOIS….All big Buck killing states. This parcel in Michigan and the deer harvested off of it since 2014 will rival any of those states. I hunt all of those states and can tell you first hand your chances of killing GREAT deer is probably better on this piece of ground. NO it is not High fenced in fact the only fence is a single strand of old barbed wire running down the edges from when the original farmer had cattle years ago. This parcel sits keyholed into 4600+/- acres of what is known as the Austin gas fields. That 4600+/- acres is owned by Mid-Michigan gas storage corporation and they have not permitted ANY hunting since 2008 and even then it was very limited. Within that 4600+/- parcel approximately seven(7) sq miles there are zero crops it is mostly mature timber interspersed with wet ground here and there. This farm contains approximately 80-90 acres of FOOD...row crops corn/beans as well as perfect bedding cover consisting of warm season grasses. It has been strategically layed out to funnel these giants from the surrounding 7 sq miles of timber directly into and in front of the stand locations. Deer are dying of old age in that timber with zero pressure on them. The age structure of the bucks harvested by the current owner and his family is likely 5 yrs old and older with an occasional big 4 year old mixed in. The lack of hunting pressure and the size of the unhunted adjoining parcel makes managing this heard a relatively easy task. Passing on 140 in 3 and 4 yr olds is pretty common and these same deer are harvested the next year in the high 150’s and bigger. Holding the closest grocery store for these deer is key and the current owner has done an excellent job in laying this farm out for maximum efficiency and exposure of these deer. The pictures do not lie they are regularly killing giants with a dominant brow tine gene that is reflected in numerous big bucks some as big as 10-11 inches. This is the parcel every deer hunter dreams about. The owner has constructed a pole barn for equipment and has started to construct living quarters inside but will allow the buyer to complete it to their liking. That space overlooks the property and right outside the door there is the shooting range out to 300 yds. All the deer in these pictures were harvested on this property since 2014 as you can see they are impressive. This parcel is as “one of a kind” as you can get. The work has been done, the stands and blinds are up and it is ready to hunt.
