Here it is, a beautiful timber hunting property located less than ¼ mile from the Pine River, an excellent smallmouth bass fishery. This parcel is surrounded by large parcels of private ground and most of it is timber and farm ground. The Deer pictures here were taken over a 48 hour period. I hung the cameras on a Friday at 3 pm and pulled them at 3 pm on Monday. As you can see by the dates and times on the pictures. There is no shortage of deer on this property. The pictures posted here are just a sampling of the 400+ pictures on the cards. By my count, there are seven different bucks of various ages including some good two-year-olds that will be three this coming 2020 season. There is a good mix of hardwoods with lots of oaks providing mast as well as a pond and flowing stream for a freshwater source. There was a gas line cut through the property approximately 30 years ago and it has grown up with switchgrass and autumn olive providing excellent bedding for the herd that lives here as well as deer that travel in and out of this parcel from the surrounding timber and swamps. There is one elevated box blind as well as two ground box blinds. The current owner no longer hunts however he did permit a family member to hunt this past season and he was able to harvest two nice bucks in two days of hunting. Those are the only deer taken off the property in the past few years. There are several areas to build a cabin or make into a camping area and there is power at the road. Access is off of a paved road eliminating and seasonal or mud roads. The property also has a very good trail system throughout making access to stands and blinds possible with any wind. The property is located within 15 mins of Downton Midland MI and 30 mins from Mt Pleasant MI. It is just under 2 hours from the Detroit area and in a very private setting.
