When I fully walked the property (see the interactive map tab on top of the listing page for my photo points and pano 360-degree photo), I immediately saw deer with my drone, my dogs flushed enough roosters for a quick limit, various ducks and geese flew overhead, and I saw a couple of turkey tracks on top of it. An important note is that this property isn’t the only habitat block in the area. There are other private tracts with similar habitat as well as 160 acres and 80-acre waterfowl production areas touching the southeast and southwest corners of the property. An important note about the area is that not only is the Alexandria area a great place to live with all the amenities you need, only minutes from Alexandria or Osakis, great schools, good jobs, etc., but it is on top of the list for year-round recreational opportunities. From big bodies of water to small potholes for fishing, parks, beaches, numerous additional public hunting areas, snowmobile trails, biking paths, and so on. The point is this isn’t just a “fall use” property but can be utilized all year long as a base camp. Speaking of base camp…the newly constructed 60 ft. x 42 ft. Morton building with 28 ft. of the width of cold storage, two large roll-up doors (electric), and 14 ft. of it set up for living quarters with in-floor heat. There is some work to be completed in this portion of the building, and we can dive into those details with a one-on-one conversation, but it’s all there waiting is the point.
