Located right off US Highway 169, you will be hard-pressed to find a property with more convenient access. After you drive onto the property, this area along the highway was the original homestead. Though the buildings have been taken down and removed many years ago, this still makes for a great parking area. This parking area is located in the floodplain of the Minnesota River and cannot have any permanent structures on it, however, you would be able to park a camper or any moveable structures during the hunting season or throughout the year. From the parking area, heading east you have almost a full; one mile walk to the other side of the property. The property is a long peninsula stretching from Highway 169 out along the Minnesota River. I personally have walked the property on 4 separate occasions and I am always amazed by how big the property walks and how long it takes to see the whole property. Each time I have walked this tract, we have seen numerous deer and countless turkeys. There are approximately 100 acres of land located on the long peninsula you see in the aerial photos. The remainder of the acres is made of river acres and some additional acres across the River. The property is made up of mature timber primarily cottonwood trees with some maples and other species mixed in. The understory on the southern part of the property is more open with the northern half of the property being very thick with good undergrowth and plenty of cover for deer and turkeys. None of the deeded acres on this property are enrolled in conservation easements, therefore, you will be able to clear trails, plant food plots, or create any other habitat improvement projects without restriction. Being along the Minnesota River, this property lends itself to being a four-season recreational attraction. Outside of the hunting season, the property can be used for camping, hiking, ATV riding, fishing, and more.
