This property is located in a key location between fields and is pretty much in a direct travel route between fields as well as a property deer come to bed down in. While walking this ground I noticed lots of deer tracks and sign as well as some great deer trails. One spot was up by the NW part of the property where several trails pinched together right by an old abandoned treestand. They were traveling to and from fields in this location. The other areas I saw good sign was the band of aspen and jack pine through the property that runs roughly east and west. There were several trails getting heavy use along with this band. While walking the property I had two or three spots in mind that would make for excellent spots to put stands due to deer travel and prevailing winds typically in the fall. A couple of these spots would also make for great spots to clear out the timber to create food plots along the north sides of the aspen along the jackpines. Deer would be able to work along the creek bottom lowlands as well as the aspens. Then also come from areas they seem to be bedding in the jackpine. This could be set up perfectly to hunt and let deer slide on by if you choose to pass on it and not get busted as they work past you. The property also has a great high ground area with aspen and pine mix by the SE part of the property that would work great to build a cabin or bring in your camper and not ruin the main areas someone could spend their time hunting in. While walking this ground my dog flushed several grouse as well. I also heard mallards down by the creek and have seen geese in there in the past when in the area. The property would also make for a great trapping property as well. There are lots of lakes nearby as well one of which has a public boat launch within a mile from the property.
