I will take cover and water over any other habitat type for the chance to harvest a mature whitetail, and I can tell you this property has cover in spades! The heavy cattails provide thick cover and are used by the deer, which is evident from the drone shots. You can see the multitude of deer trails through the cattails connecting the six wooded islands on this property. Don't get me wrong, this property isn't for the faint of heart, but if you are willing to use one of these deer trails to set up a stand or two on these wooded islands, you will no doubt be in the right place. When the lead starts flying on opening day, it is my experience that the deer head for the thickest cover they can find, and if you are waiting for them in this cover, you will have a great shot at harvesting a good buck!
