Description

Wow is all that I can say. Very rarely, if not ever, does one have an opportunity, at least in this part of the state, to purchase a newly constructed custom home with various outbuildings that has a quiet and peaceful setting on a dead-end road with hunting right next door. This one-of-a-kind opportunity sits in the west metro area just over 3 miles SE of Cokato. When I say newly constructed, the home was built in 2016, and there are no upgrades needed to the finishing work as they are gorgeous. Just look through the pictures before reading on, as words cannot describe the level of craftsmanship and finished work. The entire home is just over 3,000 square feet, with one finished bedroom and three bathrooms. The main upper level is fully finished and includes a wide-open kitchen, dining area, living room area with gas fireplace, one bedroom with master walk-in closet, and private bath including tile and glass shower, American Standard whirlpool tub, sink, and toilet.

There is also a roomy laundry room with all the hookups, main entry, entry off of the garage with a half bathroom (toilet and sink), a great 14ft x 14ft screen fully screened-in porch with cedar ceiling and Knotty Alder trim work to allow for enjoying the elevated view and relaxing in the evenings, Knotty Alder trims and doors throughout. The insulated and heated garage is approx. 36ft x 26ft with a double 8ft x 18ft door and another single 8ft x 9ft door with sidewalk outdoor. The walk-out lower level is an open palette that allows you to customize the finishing to your needs and liking. The lower level bathroom is finished with the same quality of work as the upper level and features a sink, toilet, and nice size shower. It has in-floor heat and is ready for an additional bedroom with the egress and look-out window. There is one room studded out without a window that would make for a great storage room. Spray foam was utilized on all underground lower-level walls, and the rest is fully insulated (again, see the pictures). Exterior features include LP Smart side siding, a full gutter system, landscaping including a great boulder retaining wall out back, and an excellent front covered porch and entry. The home alone makes the property great but let’s continue with the other outbuildings and property.

I’m personally jealous of the again newly constructed Morton woodworking shop. This building is approximately 45ft x 30ft. It is fully insulated and has an 8ft x 10ft garage door beside the covered walk-in door. It has a 100-amp service, and if desired to continue to utilize it as a wood shop, it has various PVC ducting to allow a dust collection system to be installed. There is also a large 120ft x 60ft Morton pole building with electricity / 100amp service. The south door is a roll-up door with an approximately 24ft wide x 14ft high opening. The east door is a double sliding door with approximately 30 ft wide x 14ft opening.

The remainder of the buildings are from the original farm site, and even though they have seen better days, they are very serviceable for storage or, with a bit of TLC, can be turned and utilized however one would like. There are also a couple of existing grain bins and silos. All of this is surrounded by a well-established grove along the north and western sides that not only block the winter's wind and snow but add to the feeling of privacy. I could go on and on about the property itself, but I’d like to also hit on that if one drives east, past the driveway, you come to the end of the road where the parking area is for the “Grass Lake WMA” public hunting area. This unit is approximately 350 acres of some of the best habitat in the area. My point with bringing this up is that it’s less than a minute's drive, and you can be hunting, and super convenient if you only have an hour or so on a weeknight. So, from reading this and looking at the pictures, I think you should have an idea, and I hope you agree with how great of an opportunity this is. Just give me a shout, and I’d love to discuss further details and give you your private showing of this wonderful home/property!
