"I really wish I knew to whom specifically I should direct this letter in order to maximize exposure at the highest level. I want to ensure that everyone and anyone at Whitetail Properties knows what a fantastic representative you have in Tre Kerns. My wife and I have a house in the city, but have been looking for a rural piece of property to call home for some time. A couple such pieces of land, which were beautiful, fell through due to a lack of confidence on our part in the agents' handling things on our behalf. These were not Whitetail agents, and this was definitely not the case with Tre. I first submitted information one evening a few months ago on your website, showing interest in a property in northern West Virginia. I expected to hear something back in a day or two. Tre called about 10 minutes later. He was simultaneously professional and affable. It felt like I was talking to a friend on the phone who was willing to share his time and experience to help me through the process. Within a few days we had scheduled to meet at the property to see it. This was our first time buying a farm. When we met, I asked questions… lots of questions. Some related to the structures, some to the land, some to the wildlife, and some were just completely random. I asked questions that I was sort of embarrassed to ask, as I felt that someone considering this type of purchase should already know the answers. He was kind and patient and explained everything I asked about. He walked us through the houses and outbuildings and even did a quick walk into the woods with us. No question went unanswered. No concern went unaddressed. My wife, Tina, and I were pretty much sold before our tires left the driveway. He insisted that I call him at any time if I had questions or concerns, and as you can imagine with this type of transaction, the questions came. We had filled a page and a half before we made it back home. True to his word he was always available. I work strange hours, but day or night, weekday or weekend, he was there with the answers, or he went and found them unbelievably quickly. I discovered he would be representing the seller as well as us in the transaction, and I'll be honest, that had me a bit concerned. However, he helped us to negotiate with each other, and I sincerely believe both parties felt they got much more than they expected once the final deal was reached. He even helped us with some last-minute matters regarding the closing, making it as easy and stress-free as the rest of the process. He went so far as to set it up so that the previous owner could stay in place until June first when their new place would be ready, but at the same time allowed us to close early on the ninth of May… Tina's birthday. When we walked into our new home on June 1, there was a package waiting from Tre. I had told him during our first meeting months earlier that I liked his ballcap. The package contained two Whitetail Properties ballcaps and a beautiful wood cutting board. Those hats have spent a lot of time with us walking through town, exploring our new property, and catching fish in our new pond. The cutting board has a prominent place in our kitchen. They really were such a considerate thought on his part and were the icing on the cake. A process that I expected to be nerve wracking and daunting was quick, easy, and I’d go so far as to say pleasurable. We won’t be fully moved in until September and have been back and forth to our new home a few times. We were so thrilled that we were here when he came to collect his signs. We were quite literally excited to see him, and he has been told that he has an open invitation to stop in whenever work brings him this way. That isn’t hyperbole; it's sincere. I know it's his job to be kind and accommodating, but he has a sincerity that can’t be faked. He has even checked in with us a couple times since the closing just to make sure everything is going ok. We really consider him a friend, and he has earned a place in our hearts not only for himself, but for your company. Should we ever look for property again, you will be who I call. Should a friend ever ask for a recommendation, your name will be spoken. I apologize that this letter is coming so long after our closing, but as I mentioned earlier, my hours are strange. That combined with a few trips between West Virginia's northern panhandle and Virginia Beach, and going through the wickets of converting my position to a remote employee position caused the delay. However, I needed to share my experience with ALL of you. If the rest of your Land Specialists are half as good as Tre, you should count yourselves blessed."
