Just wanted to let you know what a great experience it was working with Jake and Spencer on the sale of my wife’s property in Winston County. I spent a day with them on the property and after that, I had no doubt that they would be our choice to sell this property that had been in her family since the 1800s. When Spenser initially contacted me, he had already done a mock-up of what the listing would look like. It was very detailed, and informative. He did an outstanding job of creating a narrative about the property that highlighted strong selling points and took photos depicting them. He let me know that he had a list of potential buyers to contact if I selected him for the project. He clearly and concisely explained what I could expect throughout the entire process from listing to closing. He kept me up to date with all aspects of showings, was very quick to respond to any questions I had, and provided excellent guidance regarding the various offers that came in. I want to let you know that my family and I had an excellent experience working with Whitetail Properties, especially our agent, Spenser Bradley. He is excellent to work with. We are first time rural land buyers and I can’t imagine having a better agent. He is professional, down to earth, straightforward, knowledgeable, insightful, and patient. A few months before engaging with Spenser we had contacted another agent who basically told us to look online and if we saw something he would go see it with us. He had a dismissive attitude and seemed to not care about helping us. That is the first and last time the other agent had any contact with us. Spenser was exactly the opposite. He was active in helping us look and giving us a feel for the market. He was able to provide data along with knowledge and insight that helped us think through and hone in on what we valued and associated trade offs. He was encouraging as we looked at many properties together. He could lay out different visions and ideas for the properties we saw which was incredibly helpful. We never felt rushed or pressured in anyway. He also encouraged us to take our kids, 4 and 6, on property visits, and was a great sport when the eventual meltdown happened. In my mind taking 4 people out to look at properties could get tricky, especially with young kids, but our many property visits were great. Our kids were excited to go ride around with ‘Mr. Spenser.After we found a property and made an offer. He kept us informed about where we were in the process and was always available if we had questions. He was prompt in reaching out to the seller’s agent to get our questions answered.He provided us with guidance about resources available to landowners from organizations like Alabama Wildlife Federation, Alabama Forestry Commission, state agencies, and NRCS. In the short time we’ve had the property I’ve had 2 free consultations based on Spenser’s input.He has made himself available to help us post sale too.I can’t imagine a better land agent, or buying land with anyone else. " I'd like to express my appreciation to Whitetail Properties and in particular to Spenser Bradley for his work in selling my property last month. I could not have been more pleased with the job he did. To say it was exceptional is definitely an understatement.My husband, Tom, and I received a flyer in the mail from Spenser about a year ago advertising some land for sale near our property. Tom called him and asked about it so Spenser took him to see it. Tom also told him about the 150 acres we own and asked if Spenser could give him some idea of what he could get for it. Spenser did some research and gave Tom his input.Several months later Tom passed away unexpectedly, and my financial situation was altered drastically. I knew I needed to liquidate some assets to improve my cash flow so I called Spenser, explained the situation and asked about the information he had given Tom. He said he'd like to come take a look at the property again and then give me some pricing suggestions.Later that week he spent the better part of a day walking over the property, taking photos, documenting relevant features and statistics, identifying potential house sites, access issues and possible improvements to increase its potential to sell. He put together a booklet for me with all this information plus maps, comps from this area and suggested prices for each of the 11 parcels that comprise the 150 acres. It was excellent and exactly what I needed! I was amazed that he had done all this work without having any kind of contract with me. I think if you look up initiative in the dictionary you will find Spenser's picture there!I told Spenser I wanted to sell some of the parcels and wanted him to handle it for me. We agreed that it was a bit early to list it since I couldn't sell any property until July when Tom's estate would close and all the deeds were transferred to my name.Several weeks later he called and said he had a client who was looking for property in this area with a pond or stream and suitable for hunting. Since my property fit these criteria he asked if he could show it to them. He said he thought they would be really good neighbors. They are a young couple who want to build a home and raise their family here. He graduated from med school recently and works at a hospital near here. I agreed, and a few days later he showed it to them. He spent several hours walking the property with them. It was just what they wanted. They understood that it would be several months before I could sell it but wanted to make an offer. They did so, I countered and we negotiated back and forth a bit until we had a deal. Everyone agreed, and we closed the day after the deeds were transferred to my name.I am still amazed at how this deal came together so perfectly. I am a Christian and I believe God is in control of everything that comes into my life. I could see His hand so clearly on this as detail after detail worked out. I am so very thankful to Him and to Spenser for his role in all this. It was a pleasure to work with him. He couldn't have been more helpful, courteous, professional, competent, responsive, available and respectful. He was indeed a blessing! "
