Road access to the pit is excellent, with State Route 118 just 1 mile from the pit down a well-maintained gravel road. The pit is just 2.75 miles from Main Street Richfield and 4 miles from I70, providing paved access throughout Sevier County and Central Utah. Utah’s economy is thriving, and with the expansion of industry/population throughout the state, significant growth opportunities exist for the operation.
Currently, conservative numbers have the pit at over 4,260,000 tons of material remaining, with just over 1,160,000 mined over the past 30+ years.
