As retirement grew closer for me, I wanted to sell my ranch land. I suspected it would take a couple of years to get it sold. I contacted Dean Anderson with Whitetail Properties to inquire about a listing. Dean took my information and traveled to my ranch to view it for himself to get a better idea of what the property would need to sell it. Dean spent several hours at the ranch and took a lot of pictures. He told me that he thought he could sell the ranch within 30 days. I was somewhat skeptical of this, since I had a second house for sale for almost two years! I listed the ranch with Whitetail Properties and was impressed with the listing and photos Dean had taken. I don't provide endorsements for many folks, but Blake Farrar is a rare exception. With regards to Blake as a person, Blake is an honest, straightforward, very likeable, easy to communicate with, and most responsive individual. Beyond that, he is very knowledgeable with regards to hunting properties. He strives to learn what his client truly desires, what their budget is, and why they want what they want.

After learning these things, he promptly goes to work. He endeavors to get the best and most fair deal for all parties involved. Further, if a deal on a particular property is not to be made, he quickly moves forward in his search of other properties to still accomplish the desires of his client. He did exactly this for me in mid-2013 when he helped me acquire a 116-acre hunting property in Throckmorton County.

Jason and my path crossed several years ago while I was attending an auction. It was during those few minutes that we discovered we had quite a bit in common, a passion for hunting and enjoying the beauty of the Loess Hills in Western Iowa. As I got to know more about Jason I felt very fortunate to have stumbled across this walking encyclopedia and was amazed at the knowledge he possessed about hunting and his enthusiasm to share this with me. Jason didn’t just stop at getting the listing and turning the property over to other sales people, he spent hours learning and understanding the property so that he could explain the potential of it to who ever he showed it to.  It amazed me at his ability to match the ideal buyer(s) for our property. He not only spent time to understand our property so he could point out the highlights and potential but he also spent additional time with each potential buyer to understand what the buyer was searching for to ensure that their purchase would be that “once in a lifetime opportunity.”

That first year I committed to hunting as much as possible.  67 days were spent hunting 3 specific bucks that were captured on trail camera.  I was able to harvest two of the bucks with my bow that both scored in the 170’s, and a third buck with my muzzle loader that scored in the mid-160’s.

Whitetail Properties and Gabe Adair were kind, courteous and very professional while listening to what our requirements were to purchasing a farm.  They were able to fulfill those requirements and help us purchase the farm we had been dreaming about for years.
