Last year I purchased my farm in Missouri through Jeff Propst from Whitetail Properties. It has almost been a year since my purchase and I couldn’t be happier. I harvested a beautiful buck the very first day I hunted it in early archery, as well as a nice buck in rifle season. I also harvested a big 24 lb. gobbler last spring. And to top that off, during the late muzzleloader season I saw eleven different bucks in only four days! I passed on them all to let them grow. Jeff has been terrific from day one and I would recommend this professional to anyone!
I worked with Jason Schendt of Whitetail Properties this summer of 2012 on a land purchase in Knox County Nebraska. When I started the purchase there was poor access to the property. Jason worked very hard on negotiating a good access point. He worked very hard on getting it surveyed properly and boundaries fenced properly. I have purchased quite a few properties as I am not young anymore. Jason did a very nice job on getting the job done. We had no disagreements with the seller and all went well. Whitetail Properties and Jason did a very nice job for me. I am writing this, which I do not due very often, because I was very pleased working with Jason and Whitetail Properties. The hunting land/quiet time land will be greatly enjoyed by my wife, my 3 children and spouses and grandchildren. Again I am just pleased having been able to purchase this land and to have worked with Jason Schendt of Whitetail Properties.

As a Licensed Financial Advisor with 20 years in the business I can say without hesitation that getting involved with Gabe Adair and letting him advise me on buying and selling Iowa ground has been the BEST INVESTMENT that I have ever made. I was skeptical initially, but my love of whitetail hunting influenced me into purchasing a small piece of Iowa land. Within a short period of time I (thru Gabe) have sold that farm for a considerable profit and acquired a larger piece that has proven to be a deer hunter's and Investor's dream. From an investment perspective, we are expecting a residual income from farming and CRP that will pay the majority of the note, have seen the value steadily rise, and realized a considerable tax deduction every year. Zed, I saw your name this morning and just thought I would drop you a note. The property we bought in Garnett has been perfect for our family, just wanted to say thank you for your part in our purchase. My 17 year old son Jared and I just did our hunter safety and look forward to hunting on our own land. Neither one of us have hunted before so we will see how it goes. It took a while to get the property sold, there were some unfortunate circumstances with several would-be buyers, but Zed never gave up and worked hard to get our place sold. We appreciated working with him and Zane both.

Knowledgeable, passionate, and motivated are three adjectives that describe Steve when it comes to representing you in a real estate transaction. My wife and I recently purchased a 57 acre farm the help of Steve. When we started looking for a farm we told Steve everything we were looking for from minimum size to price per acre to location. With that Steve went out and started assisting us in finding the right farm. When I got a call from Steve telling me he found something we needed to look at, I knew he was not wasting my time. The next day we toured the property and made an offer. I am so glad Steve was looking out for us because this property not only met every criteria we wanted, it truly is a perfect piece of ground for where we are at this stage in our life.
If it were not for Steve’s initiative, we would not have gone through with the transaction due to a property boundary discrepancy between the title company and the county tax records. There was a difference of 14 acres between the two, enough that we were ready to cancel the transaction. However, Steve got together with the county and the title company and got to the bottom of matter. It turned out the county had the wrong boundary line and that our offer to purchase the property was for the property that was advertised. I can honestly say if it were not for his initiative that we would have walked away from our initial offer. Steve went out of his way to make sure the discrepancy was resolved, which gave us the confidence we needed to proceed.
Throughout the closing process, Steve maintained a constant communication with us to ensure everything was moving forward as planned and outlined what we could expect next. In the end, the closing process went smoothly and we are now stewards of 57 acres of creation.
We are also fortunate that Steve has maintained contact with us after the closing. He still checks in to see how everything is coming together as we prepare for deer season. He has shared with me some of his property management techniques and has been great at offering advice for someone who has not done this before. I am looking forward to showing Steve some of the trail cam photos and maybe getting him out in the stand with me to harvest a mature buck.
To anyone taking the time to read this, my wife and I give Steve our highest recommendation. We don't plan on selling this property anytime soon, if ever. But if we do, Steve will be the one to represent us. If we decide to purchase another farm, Steve will be the one to represent us. I encourage you give Steve a call.
I learned to hunt and fish with my Grandfather in Southern Illinois. We always wanted a great hunting spot that also had a lake that we could fish and enjoy. But that did not happen. As I got to be a Grandpa I still had the same dream with my grandchildren. Phil helped me find a piece that fit the bill perfectly. He helped quarterback the transaction though closing and we now have our very own slice of heaven.
